We offer a variety of different cycle routes raining from 9 miles to 39 miles so there should be something to suit everyone. Please be aware that a good general level of fitness is required and that the Cotswolds is by nature hilly so there are occasional, short ascents but on the whole the routes are quiet and flat wherever possible. Electric bike hire is also available if you are worried about the hills.
You can go any time of year but we recommend March to November as the best time of year for outdoor activities in the Cotswolds.
We will provide you with a detailed pre-tour folder which includes a packing list but as a guide: layered cycle wear, waterproof jacket and trousers, comfortable trainers, warm jacket.
Pick ups from London and other towns and villages can be arranged at an extra cost.

All bikes come with helmet, panniers and lock. For more details see our blog post on bike hire.
Highly recommend this beautiful area to cycle. Hillier than expected but this made it more interesting and we learned “Wolds” means hills. The back roads were quiet and in good condition, most were narrow two lanes with ample room for cars to pass or one lane country roads and drivers were very respectful. Jamie is very organized and replied promptly to any email during the planning of the trip and during our holiday. Our route maps were waiting for us at the B&B in Moreten-in-Marsh and Tom delivered the rental bikes the next day. The bikes were new and in perfect working order. Tom helped with installing our pedals and provided a pannier bag and map holder. Jamie provides a shorter or longer option each day and the route maps and cue sheet were easy to follow. If we stopped in a village to check the map someone would usually come up to us and ask if we needed any assistance. The countryside is beautiful and the villages were gorgeous! The Treetops B&B in Moreton-in-Marsh was excellent. We had a problem with our accommodation in Chipping Campden but Jamie sorted this out very quickly.
Had brilliant weekend despite the fact it rained heavily the whole time. Regardless of weather the cycling trip was perfectly organised for my friend and I by Jamie Boot. Received excellent customer service. Hotel we stayed in was amazing. Perfect location and the cycle routes were spot on as there were various types thus catering for all abilities. Would definitely book with Jamie again as he was able to answer all questions and was very helpful. Can’t wait to do again
We arranged for a three-day, four-night cycling tour with rented bicycles. The bikes were very nice, the mapped-out options for each day were wonderful (with both a longer and a shorter route), and the lodging was lovely. Jamie was so very helpful with everything. I highly recommend cycling in May when the fields of canola (rapeseed) plants are in full bloom — brilliant yellow fields checkerboard the hillsides. We had a fabulous time and fell in love with Chipping Campden (where we stayed two nights). Our only regret was that we didn’t book a longer trip.
